Our Additional Doulas!
While we have our core group of doulas, we also work alongside doulas who are not able to make all of our CNY Doula Connection events, due to other obligations and/or distance.
We would love for you to meet these lovely ladies!

My doula journey began after the birth of my first child; after her birth I didn’t feel I was adequately prepared so I dove into learning more about pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. For my second birth I had a completely different experience; I was prepared and supported by my doula & partner and although like anything there were unplanned changes it was still the most amazing and gratifying experience.
This all led me to become a certified birth doula! My passion lies within helping parents create their plan and experience their birth the way they want…whatever that may look like! Through my training, professional methods, and research I am able to be a supportive, calming hand in this vulnerable, special moment for you and your family. BIRTH AND POSTPARTUM DOULA,

Life is filled with endless cycles of endings and beginnings that provide opportunities for awakening. I believe that pregnancy is one of them. Pregnancy is amazing, creative and magical, and my intention as a doula is to help celebrate this cycle and honor the sacred nature of this time.
My journey as a doula has been cyclical. It started at a time when I was experiencing major shifts in my life that led me to take a yoga teacher training, which is where I learned about the role of a doula. Since then I have worked at the intersection of reproductive justice, social justice and environmental justice. Becoming a doula has been part of my personal journey, first learning to advocate for myself mentally, physically and spiritually, and then advocating for others. I am a certified labor and postpartum doula through Doula Trainings International and a Hynobabies Hypno-Doula. I am also a 500-hour registered yoga teacher and teach prenatal yoga in Central New York. I am a doula who is passionate about advocating for and empowering those giving birth and their families no matter their race, class, religion, traditions, gender identity and sexual orientation. I live in Auburn with my dog Zoey, a blue heeler rescue we found during our time in Colorado. I love traveling, camping and spending time with my family after being away for a number of years. The life changing experience of becoming a mom uncovered my passion for the journey we take as we welcome babies into our families. As an elementary school teacher, I have enjoyed watching my students develop a love of learning. After my daughter was born, my path broadened because I realized how incredible it is to watch your own baby learn and grow.
I chose to train with Childbirth International to become a postpartum doula and lactation counselor because I believe that families deserve caring support as they learn about their new baby and embark on their new journey. Being able to support your family through this incredible time is a gift, and it is my hope for you to feel empowered, cared for, and confident in yourself as a parent. Hello I’m Amanda. I am a mom to three beautiful children. I was raised in the Thousand Island Region in Upstate New York, where I spent many summers swimming and fishing with friends. I have been a childcare provider since 2015 and have enjoyed seeing children grow and be active. After having three very different birthing experiences with my own children and realizing the importance of being well educated and supported throughout the birthing process it made me want to be a Certified Birth Doula and Child Birth Educator. My goal is for you to feel safe, well informed and empowered throughout your pregnancy and birthing journey. I want you to have the best birthing experience possible. There is nothing more gratifying than becoming a parent whether it is your first child or your third. It is an amazing experience which makes me feel honored to be an important part of your birth journey.
