My doula journey started after the birth of my first child in 2006. Having taken a childbirth education class with a doula, she opened up options for my birth that I otherwise wouldn’t know existed. The end result was an amazing homebirth with my two midwives. Each of these women were a huge part of my evolvement into a doula. My life was forever changed, and I knew I needed to help other women transition into motherhood as well.
I strongly believe that having support and encouragement throughout my own life has helped me in my role as a doula to be a nurturing presence. I love all things surrounding birth! From teaching classes for expecting families, to assisting them at home during their postpartum period. Throughout the years, we have also added two more children to our family, even doula-ing right up to my own due date! I hold a very strong commitment to my clients, and am honored to be a part of their birth. ,As a birth doula I have a tremendous passion for helping women during pregnancy, birth and the postpartum period. I support and trust in a woman’s choice to give birth in whatever way she feels most comfortable and empowered. I specialize in compassionate care to all families, especially those who have experienced a previous difficult or traumatic pregnancy, birth or postpartum period
In 2011 I received my birth doula certification from Life Cycles Center in Buffalo, NY. I have additional labor doula training with DTI, Hypnobabies as a Hypno-doula and Hearthside as a perinatal loss and berevement doula. I have a true commitment to the postpartum family. I trained as a postpartum doula with DTI, Newborn Care Solutions as a newborn care specialist, Birthing from Within - Birth Story Listener and Breastfeeding USA. I specialize in attachment based sleep support and provide group classes and private family sleep consultations. I am a certified Infant Sleep Educator and trained Baby Led Sleep Specialist. My future professional goals include completing additional training with the Possums Institute in breastfeeding, sleep and postpartum mental health My doula work was inspired by my own experiences with motherhood. The births of my older two children left me with much to process through, however their births have been the inspiration for my work. After the births of my 3rd and 4th children I felt powerful and strong! My desire as a doula is to come along side other birthing mothers and help them work towards achieving healthy, happy pregnancy, birth and postpartum periods. My journey to becoming a doula really started inbetween the birth of my first and the pregnancy of my second. I had toyed with the idea of going the route of a labor and delivery nurse. I was then going back and forth between nurse and doula. I was fully prepared to go the nurse route until I hired a doula for my second child. She was supportive, knowledgeable, funny, patient, and kind. She helped me heal from the first birth and really understand my body, the process of labor, and what I really envisioned my birth looking like. The amount of support she gave me through the entire process from trying to get pregnant to my postpartum appointment was outstanding. Knowing how I felt with that kind of support, I knew I wanted to be the one supporting other women.
I am a firm believer in individuals laboring and birthing however they feel comfortable and empowered. I am supportive of natural or not, medicated or not, hospital or home as well as everything in between, as long as the family has all the information available to them and they have the ability to make informed decisions on what it the best for them. After attending that first birth, it was like everything fell into place and I knew I was doing what I was meant to be doing. I received my training through Doula Trainings International in November of 2017. My professional goals include going on and training to be a childbirth educator, expanding my skills with rebozo and working with as diverse a clientele as I can. I believe every birthing person deserves the kind of support that comes from a doula during one of the most amazing and transformation inducing chapters of their lives. Birth and Postpartum doula |

There is nothing more sacred to me than the experience of birth. Being invited to join a mother and her family as they bring new life is the ultimate compliment. As a doula, I bring reverence and respect along with strong knowledge of normal birth and a tool bag of comfort measures to each birth I attend.
I have been a childbirth educator since 2012 and occasionally provided doula support for my students from 2012-2015. After years of dabbling in other certifying curriculums such as DONA International and The Bradley Method, I became fully certified as a doula and educator with Birth Boot Camp in 2018. I have been a Stay-at-Home Mommy, a working mother, a single mama, and a step-mother. No matter the circumstances, mothering is hands down the most challenging, and most rewarding, role of my lifetime. I now invest my time in Mother other Moms as a doula and support for new families as they transition into parenthood. birth & Postpartum doula & childbirth education instructor |

From as early as I can remember I have had my heart drawn to pregnancy, birth and babies. My early experiences impacted my outlook and this was no different leading up to my own highly anticipated first birth. However, things didn't go as I had visioned and that is when I came to realize that my life was being called in this wildly, exciting and significant direction. My own experience being birthed into motherhood propelled me to want to support others through this often emotionally charged journey. I learned about doulas during my pregnancy then took my birth training with DONA International in 2006 hoping I could make an impressionable impact to those I was privileged to serve.
I wholeheartedly want to support and influence families to have the best birth they envision. I strongly feel one avenue to achieve this is to be vastly educated regarding the many choices one has for this transformative journey they are about to embark. I believe being empowered during pregnancy and through labor and the early moments of birth can help set the stage for a positive transition into parenthood. I strive to guide and support the families I work with to have ownership of this life altering experience through imparting knowledge, building confidence, fine tuning preparation and a whole lot of love so they become their strongest selves and their own best advocate. All the while, I am right there beside each one helping to navigate the ins and outs as I continue to give them emotional and physical support through labor and delivery. I am deeply committed to the families I work with and although I have limits, I will do my best to accommodate requests that may veer into the unique periphery. I recently took a leave for a few years while only taking repeat clients. I am just getting back into this full-time again and I am passionate as ever about this birth work that I love and is so beneficial for families. I continually aim to stay on top of evidence based practice in addition to attending workshops and classes so I can provide families with current techniques, applications and methods for comfort, information, guidance and support. birth and postpartum doula |

Pregnancy and birth are as old as we are and because of this, a big, soft spot resides in my heart for learning and continuing traditional practices. For me, this means bringing to fruition the knowledge I have acquired, the lessons and traditions of centuries of birth and tapping into modern techniques.
Every birth is different and it is my belief that every birthing person should be allowed the environment to create not only a ‘healthy’ pregnancy, but also one that they enjoy and remember warmly. Having a birth doula allows the birthing person to be held up and supported by another who not only advocates for them but also believes in their abilities to bring their baby earth-side. The transition from non-parent to parent is often diminished and I believe it is important to shed some light and understanding on the aspects of pregnancy, labor, delivery and the postpartum period that may have been forgotten. I use my DONA International formal training to bring professionally tried-and-true methods, information, resources, and knowledge to your pregnancy. I also do my very best to have an open heart and be a warm presence during your vulnerable and intimate labor. My mission in being a birth doula is to provide the nurturing and informed presence that you need, no matter how you wish to birth your beautiful baby.
